Food is a human right.
Right now, over 250,000 people on O’ahu struggle with food insecurity.
Families are skipping meals, kūpuna are choosing between food and medicine, and keiki are going to school hungry.
Proposal P031 – the Right to Food — would make Honolulu the first city in the nation to enshrine the right to nutritious, affordable, and culturally appropriate food in its City Charter.
Proposal P119 — Create a Food Security Fund — would support the programs necessary to make Zero Hunger a reality.
Join us to recognize food access as a basic human right and a core responsibility of local government. We can ensure that every city policy, budget, and plan helps build a stronger, more resilient local food system.
Take Action!
